CVMA statement on Gordie Howe International Bridge Opening
Statement by Brian Kingston, President & CEO of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association:
“The CVMA applauds the official opening of the Gordie Howe International Bridge. Modernized
infrastructure that supports increased trade corridor capacity is critical to attain supply chain efficiencies,
sustain jobs on both sides of the border, and bolster the competitiveness of the highly integrated North
American automotive industry. The government’s ongoing commitment to this project is greatly
