CVMA ANNOUNCES NEW OTTAWA OFFICE

Ottawa, ON –The Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association (CVMA), representing Canada’s leading auto manufacturers, announces the establishment on its new Ottawa office.

“The auto manufacturing industry is a critical driver of the Canadian economy,” said Brian Kingston, President & CEO of the CVMA. “It is important the industry has a strong voice in Ottawa given the significant contribution it makes to Canada”.

CVMA members have recently announced major, job-creating investments in Canada. Ford, General Motors and Stellantis have committed $5.7 billion to Canadian operations that will create 3,700 direct jobs and tens of thousands throughout the supply chain.

The CVMA brings auto manufacturers together to achieve shared industry objectives on a range of important issues including trade, investment, innovation, consumer protection, the environment and vehicle safety.

The CVMA’s office will be located steps from Parliament Hill at 222 Queen Street. The Association will continue to have a presence in Toronto, Ontario.
