CVMA Statement on the Quebec ZEV Report
Statement by Brian Kingston, President & CEO of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association:
“The CVMA stands ready to work with the Quebec government towards their electrification objectives reflective of market conditions. We support the continuation of consumer EV purchase incentives, continued investments in expanding charging infrastructure and public education efforts as critical components to meet these objectives.
CVMA member companies have announced plans to bring some 40 new electric vehicle models to market over the coming years. Quebec’s continued engagement of the industry is critical in their efforts to accelerate consumers’ transition to EVs and we look forward to collaborating with the government as they consider future ZEV standard adjustments.”
