CVMA Respects Ontario Industrial Electricity Review
The President of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association (CVMA) issued the following statement respecting the Ontario government’s announcement to launch consultations on industrial electricity prices.
“In its plan for the future of the automotive industry, the Ontario government set out three pillars for action, the first of which was creating a more competitive business climate. In this context, today’s announcement initiating consultation with the industrial sectors on ways to inform policy and address the uncompetitive electricity rates in Ontario is a welcome and timely step forward. The CVMA member companies look forward to providing advice and potential solutions to effectively manage and reduce electricity costs to help improve the competitive business climate for vehicle manufacturing in Ontario.”
