CVMA statement on changes to British Columbia’s zero-emission vehicle policies
Statement by Brian Kingston, President & CEO of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers’ Association:
“The changes announced today by Minister Dix are a recognition that British Columbia’s mandated zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) sales targets are not feasible or achievable. ZEV adoption must be driven by consumers, not imposed through government mandates.
“We look forward to engaging with the government to establish a more realistic plan that addresses the key barriers to ZEV adoption”.
