Letter to Minister Baird on Detroit International Crossing.

April 29, 2010 PRESS RELEASE

On April 29th, 2010, the Government of Canada offered to fund up to an additional $550 million towards the construction of a new international crossing between Windsor and Detroit. The automotive industry has long supported additional infrastructure capacity in this region due to the highly integrated nature of the Canada-US industry and the amount of production parts and finished vehicles that flow through this corridor. The CVMA is hopeful that the additional support offered by the Government of Canada will help eliminate the remaining hurdles and move this critical infrastructure investment forward.”
